Team 28: 2016 - 2017 eCar

Specs:

Utilizing the Chassis of the T26 cCar, the T28 eCar received a complete eTrain overhaul. With peak power coming in at 134 kW from 2 liquid cooled Emrax motors, the car pushed out a peak torque of 160 Nm and a peak voltage of 265 V. The car featured carbon wheel shells and monocoque. The Aero on the car included a hand made front wing, undertray, and stacked rear wing that utilized and active DRS system. Handling the power was a custom inboard and outboard CV boot, and a gearbox with 7075 aluminum housings. All of this resulted in a racing weight of 390 lbs. and a 2890 mm long wheelbase.

Team 27: 2015 - 2016 cCar

Specs:

With its classic, P51-Mustang livery and aggressive stance, the T27 cCar was a complete redesign. With a 527cc Yamaha Quad engine producing 60whp and a carbon fiber monocoque, the car hit 0-60 in 4.0 seconds. Other notable features included DRS, Pneumatic shifting, and a fully programable ECU.

Team 26: 2014 - 2015 cCar

Specs:

​With a new, 2015 Yamaha YFZ 450R engine tuned to a 527cc total displacement and a race weight of 349 lbs, the T26 was the fastest car ever produced. New aero brought a new system into play; DRS, or drag-reduction-system. When a button was pressed on the steering wheel, flaps on the rear wing would open to decrease drag and increase top-end speed. This system was influential in the success of the acceleration event at competitions.

Team 25: 2013 - 2014 cCar

Specs:

The T25 cCar featured a redesigned Yamaha YFZ-450R powertrain and chassis. The full carbon monocoque and radical aero package, combined with new, in-house machined rims brought the racing weight to 343 lbs.

Team 25: 2013 - 2014 eCar

Specs:

​The second year of eCar was a huge success. With a 5th place finish at FSAE Lincoln, the T25 proved that UWashington Formula could be successful in both combustion and electric endeavors. The car featured a much more powerful power source with two Enstroj Emrax 207 Motors with torque vectoring. The car brought the aero of the cCar over to increase downforce and cornering speed.

Team 24: 2012 - 2013 cCar

Specs:

The T24 cCar featured an immensely low racing weight of only 399lbs. Moving away from the unibody aero design, the car had the largest ever front and rear wing. Four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes and a custom steering wheel with paddle shifting were other notable changes. 1st Place overall at FSAE Lincoln and 7th at FSG proved the dominance of the T24 worldwide.

Team 24: 2012 - 2013 eCar

Specs:

In 2013, Team 24 debuted the first ever UWash eCar. Dipping into the FSAE electric car discipline while also building a cCar demonstrated the drive and work ethic of the Team. The T24 eCar featured an 85kW Enstroj Emrax motor and Carbon Fiber Monocoque.

Team 23: 2011 - 2012 cCar

Specs:

In 2011-2012, Team 23 worked to create an all new Ccar. With a new engine, the 450cc Yamaha WR450, the team had to completely redesign from the ground up. The results were groundbreaking. The T23 had a full carbon fiber monocoque and a 413 lb racing weight. Where the car really stood out was with the aero design. The front wing, undertray, diffuser, and rear wing were all a single molded piece. This meant that the T23 car could be dropped onto the entire aero setup. The car, in turn, was immensely rigid and had aero that functioned as a single piece.

Team 22: 2010 - 2011 cCar

Specs:

​With a focus on speed and a unique take on Aero, the Team 22 Ccar went in a different direction than previous iterations. By removing the rear wing and focusing on undertray design, the T22 removed over 42 lbs over the T21 car. Additionally, a fully carbon monocoque and new undertray design allowed for a higher cornering speed on a new Hoosier slick tire compound.

Team 21: 2009 - 2010 cCar

Specs:

Expanding on the highs of the Team 20 car, the T21 featured 3-element design front and rear wings. The 0-60 time was decreased to 3.6 seconds, with lateral grip maxing at 1.9g. The car had a 4130 Chromoly spaceframe and a custom intake. The racing weight was 500lbs.

Team 20: 2008 - 2009 cCar

Specs:

The Team 20 car featured the most radical aero package from any previous UWash Formula cars. A front and rear wing drastically increased downforce. This brought the racing weight down to 490 lbs, with the highest cornering speeds ever seen from a UWashington Formula car.

Team 19: 2007 - 2008 cCar

Specs:

Major changes present in the Team 19 car were a reduced racing weight of 454 pounds and a 3.6 second 0-60 time. The car put out 1.9 lateral G's due to its extremely high cornering speeds.

Team 18: 2006 - 2007 cCar

Specs:

A 600cc Honda CBR F4i took the Team 18 car from 0-60 in 4 seconds. A 66 inch wheelbase and 461 pound racing weight made the 18 car lighter than its predecessor. The car featured asymmetric control arms and a 4130 Chromoly spaceframe.

Team 17: 2005 - 2006 cCar

Specs:

With the highest finish ever at FSAE Michigan, the T17 was groundbreaking. The chassis was a complete redesign, with an elegant, yet functional form. The T17 had a Dual Plenum intake and Carbon Fiber wheels. Additionally, the 600cc Honda F4 got a turbo boost, which upped peak power with the addition of a plenum exhaust.

Team 16: 2004 - 2005 cCar

Specs:

With small changes over the T15 and a lighter construction, the Team 16 car built on a successful formula. The car utilized the first full carbon fiber monocoque and a shorter wheelbase to allow for quicker turns.

Team 15: 2003 - 2004 cCar

Specs:

Through the testing and knowledge gained in the T13 and T14, Team 15 radically redesigned their car with the goal of placing high in competition. With a new carbon chassis and redesigned drivetrain that shedded 3.5 pounds over its predecessor, the T15 was a fierce competitor. With a 2nd place finish in endurance, the T15 proved its worth on track.

Team 14: 2002 - 2003 cCar

Specs:

With the same 600cc CBR engine as the T13, the T14 car had a reduced chassis weight of 50% through utilizing a new type of carbon fiber. Chassis stiffness was also improved, and with the use of new Hoosier Slicks, the T14 took 4th in the Acceleration and 1st in Presentation at FSAE Michigan.

Team 13: 2001 - 2002 cCar

Specs:

Utilizing a 600cc Honda CBR f4 Motorcycle Engine, the T13 Car pushed out 75 bhp to the rear wheels. This helped the car reach 0-60 in less than 4.25 seconds. Combined with its slim racing weight of 450lbs, the T13 was a force to be reckoned with. Keeping the car planted was Eagle Racing slicks. An evolution of the team 1-12 cars, the T13 was given high power with a light construction, thanks to the integration of carbon fiber closeouts on it's frame.
